OMW Secures Jury Verdict in Favor of Hospital in Medical Malpractice Case

In February, Marian Drenth and Daniel Ford secured a defense verdict in favor of a hospital in Porter Superior Court, Valparaiso, Indiana. The Plaintiffs alleged negligence by the hospital in failing to inform the patient of an x-ray finding of cardiomegaly which Plaintiffs claimed resulted in the patient’s death approximately three weeks later. The case was tried for 7 days from February 11-19, 2019 and the jury returned a verdict in favor of the hospital and the co-defendant emergency department physician.
